I only discovered Wet Willie and Jimmy recently. I was watching a Jeff Beck live thing and couldn't believe the vocals. Had to find out who it was. I know you U.S. guys have known Wet Willie for years, they passed me by in the UK. But jeez, what talent. Beautiful songwriting. Can't stop watching all the RUclips stuff that's out there. 1971...Wet Willie used to play at the University of Georgia at Memorial Hall on football weekends. That voice and harmonica sound as good as they did back then. If you never saw these guys live you've missed a treat. "We gonna Roll Like a Wheel in a Georgia Cotton Field!"

Hi again Bill. Could you tell me a tiny bit more about this video? What year was this recorded? What project was Honey(*edit* Honey/Hani) there to work on? I've tried to look at her discography but almost all of the information is in Korean. Maybe I'm just bad at Google though. Gosh John was talented. I had no idea he was so skilled on the keys as well. What a talent.

Thank you for posting this Bill. I understand you were John's business partner and that you two were close friends. Any time Ozzy's version gets played I think of this video and I come and watch it. It's everything that's best about a time capsule. It's heartbreaking that someone as talented as John could fly so far under the radar for most of his life. It reminds me a lot of someone like Kevin Gilbert. I don't think people in general understand the overwhelming importance of a producer when it comes to albums. It completely changed how I look at music once I realized that the common thread between the music I loved was a single producer (in that case, Butch Vig) and ever since I've always first checked the production notes whenever I hear a song that I like or that's unreasonably catchy for such a new artist. I'll take a look and say, oh yeah, it's him again. Of course this sounds like those other hits. But I digress. John seemed like a lovely person from what little footage I've seen. We should all be so lucky as to have a friend like him.

The "No More Tears" album is a masterpiece. It is one of my favorite albums from childhood. As an adult my ears are much more open to hearing the incredible writing, arrangements, and the musicianship on the album. John obviously did the music for the passion as you can see him playing this humble gig even though he is a successful producer.
